Bringing training, learning and sales into one online entity extends the reach and positive impact of emotion coaching

WHO

Tuning in to Kids® is a suite of parenting programs that focus on the emotional connection between parents/carers and their children, from pre-schoolers to teens. The evidence-based programs have proven successful in improving parenting, parent-child relationships and children’s emotional competence and behaviour.

NEED

Tuning In to Kids (TIK) is a proven program that is always going to be valuable, but in the wake of COVID, increased stresses on families and child-parent relationships increased the need to develop their website and move their facilitator training and courses online. Thus, moving away from mailing their information and course materials.

Additionally, program videos were held overseas and contacting technical support meant staff were unnecessarily running some odd hours to try and accommodate time differences.

SOLUTION

All segments of the site are contained in one Content Management System (CMS/LMS) ecosystem:

  • the website was built with WordPress with two distinct public audiences: professionals who need training and implementation support, and parents and carers who are seeking information, support and online learning

  • the parenting courses, Tuning in to Kids Online and Tuning in to Toddlers Online, and the professional portal, are built with LearnDash LMS

  • the website connects to the University of Melbourne payment system and embeds vimeo videos within LearnDash

  • the site manages 2000+ subscribers.
